National Montenegrin Cusine

In Ulcinj you enjoy typical montengrin food specialities which will be served in several romantic restaurants at the promenade.

You can get almost any varitions of food like Mediterranean cousine with original quality and domestic service. Daily fresh fish, sea shelves, shrimps or complete barbecue menus.

There are lots of small cafes in the old city (Stari Grad) of Ulcinj. Some restaurants sevring to visitors at small tables with candelights straight on the narrow medieval street under a small stone bridge.

Also Ulcinj has many smal fast food restaurants along the beach "Korso" (promenade) which offer traditional Montenegrin Burgers, which are really "Big Ones " and you can select your toppings by your self.  The prices are between 1.50 - 2.00 € and taste delicious.

Starters: Smoked ham and homemade cheese of Njegusi or olives.

Main dish: Seafood, various fish, lamb baked under iron pan and trout.

Drinks: As aperitifs grappa, for lunch wine Vranac (red) and Krstac (white), beer from Niksic for refreshment.

Burek: A very favourite dish is called burek. It is made of filo pastry stuffed with cheese or meat.
