Boat & Bus Trip: Skadar (Scudari) Lake - Daily Excursion Sightseeing Tour

Lake Scudar in the largest Lake in the Balkan area and a protected Nature Resort in Montenegro. 

Departure:
Departure for Skadar Lake Excursionin front of the travel agency City Center-Ulcinj at 9:00 o’clock.ity Port Kalaja Fortress.  We will send or hand out a small map.

1. Bus Tour to Lake Skadar:
    
2. Left part of the lake – Fortress Lesendro, Žabljak, Rijeka Crnoevića (one of the oldest ports on the lake well known for mills
   “Poseljani”).
    
3. Visiting coastal fishing villages, some of them are: Vranjina, Prevlaka, Doboši, Karuč, fish factory ie. former palace of King Nikola
   (house where was born Aleklsandar Karađorđević).
    
4. Boat Tour: Port Lipnik – Rijeka Crnojevića;
    
5. Break for swimming in Vučko’s mud.
    
6. Scheduled time of departure for Ulcinj at 16:00 o’clock.

For this trip the lunch can be arranged in romantic restaurant situated at Lake Scudari. The lunch is not included in the
given price.

The Montenegrin part of lake Skadar (Skudari) and its surrounding area were declared to a national park in the early 80ties. Lake Skadar (Skudari) is one of the largest bird reserves in Europe, and having more tthan 250 bird species, among which are some of the last pelicans in Europe, and thus popular with birders.

This natural protected area is a paradise for ornithologists and its aprox. 40 km from city centre of Ulcinj. The road from Ulcinj to lake Skudari is in good conditons and has breath taking views after passig the town Vladimir (ca 15 km from Ulcinj). A trip to the gebinning of the laek takes only 30 - 40 minutes by car.

Together with the adjacent Lake Skadar National Park on the Montenegrenian side the whole protected area comprises now almost 900 sqkm of natural wild beauty.
